How it works
From violation, to compliance

The Essential Modernization Package exists for one reason: to close an open violation as fast and cleanly as possible. Here is the path from citation to a passed inspection.

01

Violation review

We pull the citation and inspection report, survey the equipment tied to it, and confirm exactly what is failing.

02

Scope confirmation

We match the cited items to the code-required scope: safety circuits, wiring, non-compliant controls. Any required filings are handled by us.

03

Correction

Certified technicians correct only the cited items, with minimal disruption to service and the shortest out-of-service window possible.

04

Inspection support

We schedule the compliance inspection and stand by on site until the unit passes.

Scope of work

What the Essential Modernization Package actually includes

The Essential Modernization Package touches only what code requires today. It does not replace the machine, the doors or the cabin interior. Here is the scope, area by area. Everything here carries forward into Targeted and Prime: nothing gets redone twice.

01

Safety circuits and wiring

The circuits and wiring behind every safety stop are rebuilt to current standard.

  • Safety circuit and its wiring rebuilt to current standard
  • Electrical wiring replaced wherever it no longer meets code
  • Hoistway and machine room wiring brought up to standard where cited
02

Control components

Only the parts of the existing controller that no longer comply are corrected.

  • Non-compliant control components corrected or replaced
  • Field wiring tied to those components brought up to code
  • No new controller, no new dispatching logic
03

Inspection support

We stay engaged until the unit actually passes.

  • Corrected items documented against the violation or inspection report
  • Compliance inspection scheduled by us
  • On site with the inspector until the unit passes
What drives the scopeThe open violation or inspection report defines the scope of an Essential package. If your equipment has failures beyond what is cited, or systems that are out of parts, the Targeted or Prime package may be the better fit. We will tell you plainly which one applies after the survey.

Is Essential enough?

When Essential is not the right level

The Essential package is built for one situation: an open violation with no other functional failures. If your building looks like either case below, a different level fits better.

Door, control or fixture problems

If door operators, dispatching or fixtures are failing on their own, not just failing to comply, the Targeted package fixes the actual failures instead of only the cited items.

See Targeted Package

Old or out-of-parts equipment

If the equipment is 25 or more years old, or the machine is out of parts, the Prime package is the more durable fix.
